Join SAIT's Continuing Education and Professional Studies division as an Adjunct Instructor for the Residential Deep Energy Retrofit (DER) certificate. This casual position involves teaching courses in a hybrid format and requires a minimum Bachelor's Degree in a related Construction field. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience in Construction Management and Deep Energy Retrofit projects, first-hand knowledge of existing housing in Indigenous communities, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Prepare and present engaging lessons, lectures, assignments, quizzes, exams, lab activities and lab demonstrations for learners
- Evaluate student progress and maintain records for the purposes of grading, assessing professionalism and tracking attendance
- Manage the classroom or lab to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment
- Provide on-going support, guidance and advice to students
- Maintain records for the purposes of grading of online quizzes, exams and assignments
- Attend all SAIT training as required
- Achievement of CEPS initiatives and Objectives
- Be an active and engaged member of CEPS
- Adhere to all safety legislation, guidelines and safety standards as required
- Maintain contact with relevant industry sectors
