The Energy Engineer supports the design and optimization of high-performance building systems through detailed energy modeling, financial analysis, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Develop building energy models to optimize envelope and building system designs using eQuest and IES-VE
• Perform comparative simulations of design options to evaluate energy efficiency and emissions implications of various electrification and decarbonization strategies
• Support the design and evaluation of renewable energy systems
• Perform life-cycle cost analyses using the NIST Building Life Cycle Cost software
• Prepare clear, well-organized technical reports and narratives
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and sustainability teams
