Requirements

• Conducts site visits to identify discrepancies between design documents and field conditions
• Assists in resolving construction-phase issues
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents
• Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects
• Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment to meet project milestones and deadlines
• Familiarizes themselves with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
• Operates engineering software to solve specific problems, and inputs the data required by the program
• Familiarize themselves with state-of-the-art design and various state and local regulations
• Participates in design-build coordination meetings with contractors to review constructability and address technical questions
• Demonstrates willingness to learn new technologies, design methods, and construction techniques
