Job Description
The Part Time Victim Advocate assists victims of violent crimes by providing information, making referrals, and providing on-scene support. They also provide crisis intervention services, liaison with law enforcement and prosecutors, and training and education to various audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social or Behavioral Science
- 1 year of related work experience
- Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one within 30 days
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of victimology, trauma-informed responses, judicial processes, and resources for victims of crimes
