Job Description
This internship supports the Special Programs Manager and Program Coordinators in the daily operations of multiple animal-focused initiatives, including developing, implementing, and organizing programs that serve the shelter's animal population. The intern will assist in coordinating daily tasks, engaging with the community, supporting communications and outreach efforts, and contributing to program outreach and efficiency.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor OR Graduate program
- Event planning principles, practices, and logistics management
- Basic record-keeping procedures and documentation standards
- Computer applications and software relevant to program coordination
- Animal breeds, temperaments, and best practices for matching animals with adopters
- Proper handling, restraint, and confinement techniques, along with occupational safety protocols when working with animals
