Admit Clerk I, Per Diem

Admit Clerk I is a part-time position responsible for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients, registration of outpatients, and accurate patient information collection. Performs paging, announcement of public messages, and responds to inquiries in accordance with hospital policy. Gathers complete and accurate patient demographic, insurance, and clinical information. Ensures proper financial clearance of scheduled procedures and maintains professional growth and development through seminars and workshops.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous admitting experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Ability to operate a multi-line phone system
• Ability to perform data entry using EPIC preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire
