Senior Software Engineer I - Agent Foundations

Samsara is a connected operations cloud that enables organizations to improve their operations. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll build systems that power route planning, optimization, dispatch, and real-time tracking for fleets. You'll work on a team that shapes product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, and Equipment Monitoring. The role is remote, open to US or Canada residents, with relocation assistance not provided. You'll develop scalable backend services, web interfaces, and APIs, and bring to life commercial navigation features using real-time data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience in software development.
• Strong programming/coding fundamentals.
• Experience designing and architecting large, high-scale systems.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver upon project milestones.
