Product Engineer

Samtec is seeking a Product Engineer to join their team in Kanagawa, Japan. The ideal candidate will have experience in connector design and manufacturing, as well as proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and simulation software. The position requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to work with team members worldwide. Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in connector design/manufacturing
• Proficient in MS Office Applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience in design of plastic injection molding and progressive die stamping
• Engineering Design Software: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.
• Simulation Software: FEA, CFD/Thermal Modeling, etc.
• Experience in the connector manufacturing industry or similar industries
• Understanding of Japan culture and ability to communicate in Japanese
• Ability to build good relationships with stakeholders such as suppliers and vendors in Japan
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
• High school diploma required
