The Psychiatric RN will provide professional nursing care to patients with psychiatric or emotional disorders, assess their needs, plan and implement care procedures, and evaluate patient progress. The role requires a strong understanding of psychiatric nursing principles, medical terminology, and psychopharmacology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- RN, ADN or BSN from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting, phone triage, tele-health or case management or combination of education and experience
- Valid Texas RN license in good standing required
- CPR (must be obtained within 30 days upon hire) BLS, ACLS, CPI certifications a plus
