Job Description
SFCM is seeking an engaged and dedicated Early Childhood Music Instructor to teach Smart Start classes for children ages 0-6. The curriculum is developed by Royal Conservatory of Music, incorporating science-backed research and expert guidance. The role involves weekly class teaching, curriculum development, assessment, and communication.
Requirements
- Teach Smart Start group classes for students ages 0-6
- Complete a 4 week teacher training program through RCM
- Develop individualized instructional plans
- Track student success, attendance and participation
- Attend departmental meetings
- Demonstrate classroom management skills
- Pass a criminal background check
