Workshop Technician

We are looking for a flexible and self-motivated workshop technician with a strongly collaborative nature and time leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and/or electrical aspects of underground mining equipment and components at high profile mining sites.

Requirements

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and/or electrical aspects of underground mining equipment and components
• Inspect equipment for accurate performance and determine faults and malfunctions
• Rebuild components and systems according to factory specifications
• Test repaired equipment to ensure accurate operational performance
• Develop sound relationships with the workshop team and internal and external customers
• Follow scopes of work within time constraints to meet established delivery targets
• Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective parts components or systems according to scope
• Identify additional repairs, compile parts and labor estimates, and communicate to supervisor
• Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists
• Stay current with industry, customer, product developments, and technical standard methodologies
• Maintain hand tools and equipment to ensure safe operation
• Maintain orderly workshop and ensure housekeeping requirements are met
• Stay current and in compliance with all Sandvik, Customer, State, and Federal regulatory safety policies
