We are looking for a flexible and self-motivated workshop technician with a strongly collaborative nature and time leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and/or electrical aspects of underground mining equipment and components at high profile mining sites.
Requirements
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and/or electrical aspects of underground mining equipment and components
- Inspect equipment for accurate performance and determine faults and malfunctions
- Rebuild components and systems according to factory specifications
- Test repaired equipment to ensure accurate operational performance
- Develop sound relationships with the workshop team and internal and external customers
- Follow scopes of work within time constraints to meet established delivery targets
- Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective parts components or systems according to scope
- Identify additional repairs, compile parts and labor estimates, and communicate to supervisor
- Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists
- Stay current with industry, customer, product developments, and technical standard methodologies
- Maintain hand tools and equipment to ensure safe operation
- Maintain orderly workshop and ensure housekeeping requirements are met
- Stay current and in compliance with all Sandvik, Customer, State, and Federal regulatory safety policies
