Job Description
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Requirements
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
- Maintains all department specific required certifications.
- Valid driver's license and medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
