Job Description
Sanford Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in compounding, preparing, and dispensing medical prescriptions. The position involves preparing medications under the direction of a pharmacist, maintaining proper storage and security conditions for drugs, and ensuring equipment is functioning properly.
Requirements
- High School graduate or general education diploma (GED) required
- National certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required in some states
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the state board of pharmacy required in some states
- Active/current pharmacy technician registration with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy required
- Pharmacy technician registration with the ND Board of Pharmacy required
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the SD Board of Pharmacy required
