Job Description
Respiratory therapists assess individuals to prevent, detect, monitor and manage disease and complications. Provide therapeutic interventions and education to promote preventative care, self-management, and overall health status. Performs regular assessments and analyzes patients' blood and other specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.
Requirements
- Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program
- Current Respiratory Therapy licensure in state(s) of practice
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Site-specific specialty credential(s) such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), etc.
