Digital R&D - Lead Software Engineering

Role Overview

Join our Digital R&D Software Engineering team as the Engineering Lead and take a pivotal role in centralizing and advancing engineering capabilities across Digital R&D. In this role, you will lead, manage, and mentor a high-performing Agile engineering team, driving innovation and operational excellence in software development.

What You Will Do

Lead Transformation: Continue Digital R&D’s transformation journey away from siloed delivery and operationalize our product centric, Agile, transversal center of excellence (CoE) model that promotes collaboration and accountability. Provide Technical Leadership: Guide software engineering teams with technical and leadership expertise, fostering effective collaboration and high productivity.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience managing software engineering teams
• Proven track record of leading groups of 15+ engineers
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects, mentoring team members effectively, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
• Extensive experience driving integration initiatives across diverse systems and ensuring seamless interoperability at scale
• Expertise in software architecture, microservices development, and scalable application design
• Proficiency in designing and implementing system integrations using APIs, middleware, and messaging systems
• Strong coding skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, as well as SQL
• Deep understanding of cloud databases (e.g., Snowflake) and data management solutions
• Experience with advanced GenAI technologies, such as AWS Q and ChatGPT, alongside key AWS components like Lambda, SNS, and more
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• A passion for continuous learning, staying ahead of technology trends, and promoting adaptability within the team
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required
