[Japan] Manager, External Communications

Santen is a global pharmaceutical company seeking a Manager, External Communications to advance its eye health and improve lives through better vision. The role involves planning and execution of the company's external communication strategy globally.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, journalism or related field
• Japanese native and English fluency (written and verbal)
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in communications or public relations
• Experience in managing a team, including supervising operations and fostering talent development through coaching and mentoring
• Knowledge of and experience with pharmaceutical affairs, regulations and guidelines
• Experience in media relations, including the handling of press releases, press conferences, financial results, events, media tie-ups, etc.
• Experience in risk management communications and crisis communications
• Experience in digital and social media communications
