Job Description
As a Procurement Category Lead, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies to strengthen Santos' competitive advantage, deliver end-to-end contracting outcomes, and ensure sustained value for the business. You will lead sourcing and contract management activities, collaborate with stakeholders, and identify and implement category improvement initiatives to achieve optimal cost savings and sustainability.
Requirements
- Experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing and/or Category Management in the Field Civil and Construction categories
- Previous experience in oil & gas or a similar heavy industrial environment
- Experience developing and presenting procurement and category strategies
- Exposure to major capital equipment procurement and international sourcing
- Experience in upstream onshore brownfield/greenfield development projects
- Category knowledge across: well site skid fabrication, HDPE pipes/fittings, cables, instrumentation, flex hoses, pressure safety valves, pumps, variable drives
- Understanding of OEM and aftermarket supply channels
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in negotiation, contractual terms and supplier relationship management
