Lead SAP ABAP Developer (m/f/d)

SAP Fioneer is seeking a Lead SAP ABAP Developer to drive the backend architecture and delivery of their cloud-based SaaS platform built on S/4HANA and SAP BTP technologies. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance components, and lead and mentor a small team of ABAP engineers.

Requirements

• Design, own, and govern the architecture of scalable, secure backend components for innovative lending solutions built on ABAP and related SAP technologies.
• Define technical direction, coding standards, and best practices.
• Lead implementation efforts, review designs and code, and ensure delivery of high-quality standard software in an agile environment.
• Partner strategically with front-end developers, designers, and product owners to define end-to-end solutions, APIs (CDS/OData) and integration patterns.
• Diagnose, prioritize, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure engineering excellence through structured testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, automated quality checks, performance tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and grow ABAP engineers.
