SAP NS2 Sr. DevOps Engineer

At SAP, we're looking for a highly detail-oriented senior engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure Platform Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Terraform and infrastructure as code, with 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, or DevOps roles. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining large-scale infrastructure-as-code automation using Ansible and SDLC, with a focus on security and efficiency.

Requirements

• Design, build, release and maintain large-scale infrastructure-as-code automation primarily using Ansible and SDLC.
• Translate complex infrastructure and software requirements into well-scoped technical plans, actionable work items, and clear documentation.
• Use GitLab with multiple repositories to maintain customer infrastructure and create merge requests for changes to customer infrastructure.
• Leverage generative AI tools to increase engineering efficiency, improve accuracy, enhance security posture, and optimize resource management.
• Deploy Instructure using technologies using terraform, docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Collaborate closely with internal product teams to define infrastructure requirements and deliver scalable, repeatable IaC solutions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation on automation released to operations teams and customers.
• Develop standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, technical bulletins, and other documents in support of the infrastructure.
• Operate in a security-first mindset, performing all other responsibilities with security in mind.
• Implement monitoring, config management, and logging capabilities to manage a multiple tenant cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud service providers.
