Lab Technician

As a Lab Technician at Sarah Cannon Research Institute, you will perform high-level medical laboratory processing procedures for specimens received on patients enrolled in clinical trials. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and working effectively with staff and external agencies.

Requirements

• Vocational or technical training in laboratory process and/or phlebotomy
• Current BLS certification
• Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, systems
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements for safe handling of blood and body fluids
• Experience gathering and reporting information
• Experience in venipuncture and blood processing
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively with staff, and other internal and external sponsor and agencies
• At least one year of clinical laboratory and phlebotomy or equivalent experience
