Commissioning Engineer

Join our Production team in Royston, Hertfordshire as a Commissioning Engineer to test and commission electro-mechanical equipment for bioprocessing. Work within a team of experienced technicians and engineers, collaborating with the rest of the engineering team to achieve production and quality targets.

Requirements

• ONC, HND, BTEC, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or be technician | apprentice trained with substantial relevant experience
• Substantial experience working in a technical environment within a high-tech engineering or manufacturing organisation
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and mechanical engineering materials, finishes and tolerances
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical and pneumatic drawings
• Practical electrical experience in wiring, fault finding and electrical testing practices
• Confident using Microsoft Office packages and relevant hardware configure and test programs
• Proven mechanical and electrical assembly skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads effectively to meet tight deadlines, while demonstrating a proactive approach, strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills, a collaborative team oriented approach and a willingness to develop new knowledge and skills
