The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is responsible for creating an excellent shopping experience for customers, driving sales growth and profitability, and establishing an engaging environment for team members.
Requirements
- Provides leadership, coaching and development to store team members
- Creates a safe and positive store environment
- Assists store manager with creating the weekly schedule
- Leads the store in the store manager’s absence
- Performs and/or coordinates building maintenance
- Takes genuine interest in the growth and development of team members
- Ensures the store is operated according to operational standards
- Responsible for key metrics of store operations
- Analyzes and utilizes operational/financial data to make business decisions
- Responsible for merchandising program execution
- Maintains a high standard of operation for customers
- Manages inventory levels to meet company standards
- Responsible for excellent perishable product offering and management
- Responsible for interpreting sales data and trends
- Responsible for implementing and compliance with all policies and procedures
- Acquires food safety certification
- Always provides support to the store manager
- Performs other duties as assigned
