Founding Platform Engineer

Savvy Wealth is a fintech company changing the wealth management industry by building a digital-first solution for financial advisors. The Founding Platform Engineer will be responsible for defining the company's infrastructure strategy and building a platform that supports the growth of the business. This is a hands-on IC role that requires a software engineer with experience in cloud infrastructure, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building and shipping production features in web applications
• Comfort reading and contributing to a Rails/GraphQL backend and a Next.js frontend
• Experience leading or contributing to a significant infrastructure initiative
• Strong proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
• Solid understanding of observability and monitoring tools (Datadog preferred) for metrics, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Ruby, Python, Bash, or Go)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to drive adoption through mentorship and partnership
