Recycle Technician

SBM Management is seeking a Recycle Technician to keep assigned recycle and reuse material areas clean and in an orderly condition. Responsibilities include collecting, salvaging, and sorting materials like paper, cardboard, and scrap metal, using equipment like compactors and forklifts, and monitoring hazardous waste. The ideal candidate will maintain equipment, maintain good hygiene, and be respectful and positive in a work environment.

Requirements

• Collect, salvage, and sort reusable or recyclable materials.
• Use equipment such as compactors, vertical balers, forklifts, etc.
• Inspect materials and sort according to type, size, condition, coloring, etc.
• Weigh materials and keep records.
• Sweep and pick up trash.
• Monitor hazardous waste collection areas (less than 33%)
• Wear SBM standard uniform.
• Good hygiene.
• Positive, friendly demeanor.
• Respectful behavior.
• Timely responses to requests.
• Initiative and pride in work.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Effective communication skills.
