Abschlussarbeit: Strömungssimulation der Ölverteilung um Wälzkontakte bei geringen Ölmengen (d/m/w)

We are looking for a graduate to work on a graduation project to simulate oil distribution around rolling contacts at low oil volumes. The project involves evaluating and assessing particle-based CFD methods, conducting literature reviews, and preparing and conducting CFD calculations in a bearing. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or a comparable field, and good knowledge of fluid mechanics and numerical flow calculation CFD.

Requirements

• Study of the field of mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or a comparable field
• Very good German or English skills in writing and speaking
• Good knowledge in the field of fluid mechanics or physics, especially numerical flow calculation CFD
• Advanced knowledge in the field of machine elements is desirable
• Programming experience, preferably Python
• Critical and creative thinking
• Engaged and independent working style, teamwork ability, and willingness to thoroughly get into new topics
