26-27SY Teacher of the Visually Impaired Eligibility Application

Teaches visually impaired students, assesses eligibility for service, and develops a comprehensive educational program. Must have a Bachelor's degree and a valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania certificate to teach the Visually Impaired, or ability to obtain an emergency permit.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania certificate to teach the Visually Impaired
• Preferred 2 years of experience working with visually impaired students
• Preferred experience in a public school setting with urban youth
