The Manager, Expense Management role is responsible for enabling effective expense management through strategic, insightful, and timely financial analysis. The Manager will lead complex analyses, influence business partners, and drive continuous improvement in expense management processes, tools, and governance. This role is expected to provide actionable insights and clear narratives to Canadian Banking executive management.
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 3â5+ years of relevant experience in financial planning, forecasting, or management reporting, preferably within Canadian Banking or a large financial institution.
- Professional designation (CPA, CFA, or MBA) preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial planning/reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, SmartView).
- Strong understanding of financial and management reporting principles.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights for senior audiences.
- Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and operate effectively in a matrixed, fast paced environment.
