We’re looking for a Senior Manager of API & Services Quality Engineering to lead and evolve quality practices across our API and microservices platforms. This is a hands on technical leadership role for someone who enjoys building automation frameworks, understands modern service architectures, and knows how to lead and grow engineering teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Software Engineering
- 5+ years in a technical people management role
- Strong hands-on experience with API automation (Java, RestAssured, Cucumber/TestNG preferred)
- Strong understanding of microservices test strategy: contract testing, component/integration vs E2E balance, observability-driven QA.
- Experience leading QE organizations (leads + SDETs), setting standards, coaching, and performance assessments.
- Proven delivery of automation-first quality, reliability/resiliency practices, and release gating.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to track QA metrics, including test execution progress, defect trends, automation coverage, and release readiness indicators.
- Design intuitive visualizations that highlight risk areas, bottlenecks, test coverage gaps, and product quality trends.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern SDLC practices
- Ability to lead teams and influence quality outcomes at scale
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Contract or service level testing exposure
- Cloud platform experience
- Pragmatic AI adoption in QE: test generation/maintenance, intelligent selection, defect analytics—without hype.
- Nice-to-haves: Web automation awareness (Playwright) and Mobile (Appium + Python) for unified strategy oversight.
- Nice-to-haves: Cloud & platform knowledge (Azure/AWS), GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins, Pact/WireMock, K6/Gatling/Locust.
- Nice-to-haves: Experience in regulated/enterprise environments, accessibility awareness.
