Job Description
SNI Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Pre-Authorization Associate to support a high-volume outpatient medical practice in Mercer County, NJ.
Requirements
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations for medical testing.
- Communicate with insurance companies, referring physicians, and patients regarding authorization status.
- Update, edit, and maintain accurate information in the office database.
- Manage exam certifications, including upgrades and downgrades.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of participating insurance plans, pre-auth workflows, and Exchange EDI requirements.
- Greet and direct patients, physicians, and visitors in a professional manner.
- Accurately enter insurance information and process documentation (referrals, waivers, signatures, etc.).
- Scan insurance cards, referrals, waivers, and FTPs.
- Collect co-payments when applicable.
- Schedule walk-in appointments and provide exceptional customer service.
