Lifeguard

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons at Scripps College's pool, including surveillance, accident prevention, and rescues. The position requires one or more years of lifeguarding experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Requirements

• Comply with TFH rules and California mandated regulations
• Maintain constant supervision of patrons in the pool and pool area
• Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency
• Prepare and maintain appropriate activity reports
• Complete accident and incident reports for all injuries occurring at TFH
• Maintain swimming skills; swim a minimum of 500 meters per week
• Inspect the pool and pool area and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the TFH Professional Staff on site
• Perform various maintenance duties to maintain a clean and safe facility
