The Research Technician will work with Professor Sarah Marzen to optimize engineering of hybrid adaptive networks, performing tasks such as testing new theoretical tools, explaining findings to others, and advising undergraduates.
Requirements
- Test new theoretical tools to understand how reservoir computers work
- Explain findings to others to incorporate into understanding of hybrid adaptive networks
- Advising undergraduates to complete projects
- Open-source code produced and publish findings in top journals
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail
- Interact with faculty, staff, and college community
- Process large amounts of information and manage multiple deadlines efficiently
- Strong computer skills, preferably with Microsoft Office, LaTeX, and Python
- Strong communication skills, including writing scientific papers and giving presentations
- Bachelor’s degree in physics or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
