Electronics Technician

Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment related to electron beam accelerator systems on a rotating 12hr night shift.

Requirements

• Maintains industrial particle accelerators and power supplies
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, high voltage power supplies, electron-beam accelerators, and replaces damaged or broken components
• Tests malfunctioning equipment and discusses malfunction with other internal and external maintenance resources to diagnose malfunction
• Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as capacitors, resistors, relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices
• Understanding of vacuum systems and leak detection
• Heavy lifting and use of overhead lifting equipment required
• In addition to strong electrical system understanding candidate must also have strong mechanical skills required
