The Extrusion Operator is responsible for producing barrier and non-barrier tubing at optimum output and yield meeting or exceeding departmental goals and internal and external customers' expectations.
Requirements
- Follow all applicable EHS, Quality and Food Safety procedures and protocols, and reports any incident to his/her supervisor.
- Complete all EHS, Quality and Food Safety applicable training.
- Support implementation of the Quality and Food Safety program and comply with the expectations if this role is included as part of the Food Safety or Internal Audit team.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in addition to line operator's responsibilities.
- Communicating effectively to the team when there are changes to production orders and quality concerns.
- Perform quality inspections.
- Ensure formulations are being produced and labeled properly.
- Operate ICT and RDI units at the appropriate MA settings.
- Troubleshooting the line, taking appropriate correctives actions while analyzing the line and correcting line issues as the occur.
- Maintain quality control ensuring the operation for various quality defects.
- Ability to perform all SQF activities.
- Reacting to alarms and signals with a sense of urgency.
- Ensure safety of department personnel.
- Work alongside other departments to ensure accuracy and product deliverance
- Assist with any needed maintenance repairs and report non-function equipment.
