Sealed Air is seeking a R&D Mechanical Engineering Co-op to conduct laboratory research projects in areas of food, medical packaging, or protective packaging. The co-op will work with Application Experts, participate in project teams, and present to Leadership Teams.
Requirements
- Completed at least 1.5 years towards a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- 2.5 or higher GPA
- Authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be able to handle and be in direct contact with raw meat and protein products
- Able to provide own transportation to the internship/co-op location
- Able to work 10+ hour days in 40°F environments as needed
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Knowledgeable about general lab and machine shop practices
- Strong hands-on skills
- Familiarity with Solidworks
- Creative and a strong problem solver
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Good written and verbal communication skills
