R&D Process Engineer

Sealed Air is seeking a R&D Process Engineer to develop new packaging materials by designing new formulations and exploring new extrusion, converting, and printing processes. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, and 5+ years of work experience in manufacturing companies, preferably in the packaging sector, polymers industry, or in the extrusion equipment business. The R&D Process Engineer will work within a team of 8 process engineers, partner with a team of skilled technicians, and work side by side with the R&D Applications team and the R&D Analytical team.

Requirements

• University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years work experience in manufacturing companies, preferably in the packaging sector, polymers industry, or in the extrusion equipment business.
• Fluent English, second language (French, German or Spanish) would be a plus
• Willingness to travel, mostly in Europe but also in USA/Asia
• Ability to work effectively on projects with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
• Project Management skills and attitude
• Leadership skills and ability to coordinate a team
