Job Description
The Planner II (Resource Planning) supports ship new construction programs by developing and calculating production budgets and managing the shipbuilding labor resource plans. The Planner II is responsible for distributing the contract budget as per the Program/Project Plan, developing project staffing and trades plans by resource type to report and support the short, medium- and long-term requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Business, or Data Analytics, or Technical Certification in Trades.
- 2-4 years of experience in planning and/or production control at a large manufacturing firm, preferably in the shipbuilding industry.
- Certification by an accredited society in Planning, Production Control and/or Project Management is highly desirable (e.g. PMP, PMI-SP, AACE-PSP)
- Strong experience in rolling wave production hours budget calculations and cost performance index analysis (earned value management) considered an asset.
- Experience with Earned Value Management, and/or Data Analytics is an asset.
