
Job description
The Lead Technical Safety Engineer will serve as the focal point between third-party consultants and the company, ensuring that assigned scopes of work are delivered technically feasible and within project schedules. This role will involve preparing Technical Basis for Design (TBE) on third-party consultants, reviewing reports, and managing interface issues with topside contractors.
Responsibilities include preparing TBE, reviewing reports, managing interface issues, identifying and reviewing safety study recommendations, and supporting project management teams. Additional responsibilities may include developing design safety philosophies and reviewing fire protection philosophies.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably chemical engineering, and 5-10 years of experience in planning and designing in the oil and gas industry. Strong process safety and risk engineering skills, as well as a positive attitude and ability to multitask, are required.
