The Material Handler I-Day Shift is responsible for maintaining a clean, neat, and safe work environment, organizing and scheduling material readiness, and complying with material identification, handling, preparation, and packing procedures. The role requires good communication skills, mathematical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position involves physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 55 lbs.
Requirements
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment
- Organize and schedule material readiness
- Comply with material identification, handling, preparation, and packing procedures
- Ensure materials are drying at the correct temperatures and dew points
- Verify the hopper loaders and/or dryers are clean prior to loading any resins
- Maintain all machines with adequate amounts of material, cartons, and skids for continuous operation
- Participate in change-over when applicable inform supervisor of any maintenance needed, quality and safety issues observed
- Assist in giving operators breaks, maintaining all material equipment and overall housekeeping
- Responsible for ensuring that no material contamination occurs in any of the process in the facility
- Support IQMS and ISO standards
- Produce accurate reports of material use and returns
- Perform various tasks as required to support operational necessities
- Understand and implement safe work habits to prevent potential safety hazards of material cross contamination
- Responsible for proper implementation of all material handler procedures
