Job Description
Learn the key components of molds and functions of tooling, and support mold makers in their area of knowledge and skill. Assist with disassembly, reassembly, and maintenance of molds, as well as minor maintenance on machines in the tool room.
Requirements
- Learn safety measures associated with the tool shop
- Use inspection equipment and processes associated with molds
- Machine basic forms using tool shop equipment
- Disassemble and reassemble molds for maintenance and/or engineering changes
- Repair and revise molds as needed
- Dissemble, clean, and re-grease molds to keep them in good working order
- Do minor maintenance on machines in the tool room
- Keep the tooling area clean and organized
