Job Description
Quality Improvement Engineer is responsible for maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) at Brooksville, FL facility, assisting with internal audits, and facilitating Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques. The role involves mentoring and supporting quality inspectors, managing product inspection activities, and representing the organization in the community.
Requirements
- 4yr degree in Engineering or Technical discipline; or combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer in a Manufacturing Environment
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is recommended
- Self-starter with the ability to motivate others
- Leader who is able to make decisions, but also comfortable delegating decision making where appropriate
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Experienced in good manufacturing practices and quality initiatives and programs
- In-depth experience with QMS systems including ISO 13485
- Ability to develop and maintain a team oriented work environment
- Strong working knowledge of injection molding processes
- Demonstrated experience at implementing continuous improvement, lean or other process improvement techniques
- Strategic thinker with experience in statistical analysis and identifying trends through data
