As a Service Technician, you will troubleshoot, service, and test systems to ensure they meet our standards and client expectations. You will also maintain the safety and cleanliness of SecurAlarm property, take pride in your appearance and surroundings, and communicate opportunities for additional training needs.
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the US
- A valid driver's license, can drive company vehicle, and be insurable under fleet policy
- Be able to pass background screening and drug test (including marijuana)
- Be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with team members and/or other clients
- Be able to lift and carry up to 75lbs
- Be able to work a flexible schedule to meet client needs
- Manual dexterity for reaching, climbing, and lifting of small to large objects, and operating construction equipment
- Basic technical knowledge of networks, IT infrastructure, electrical theory, software interfaces, and the ability to understand blueprints
- Ideal but not required: Knowledge of construction life cycles; fire and building codes such as NFPA 72 and Michigan building code; general knowledge of IT infrastructure; knowledge of fire alarms systems and devices
- Experience with low-voltage electricity
- Experience reading blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitudes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently on multiple issues
