Security Officer (DFL) observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, ensuring the security and safety of client property and personnel. Provides a welcoming atmosphere, communicates effectively, and monitors site security.
Requirements
- Admits visitors with legitimate needs efficiently
- Screens visitors and client employees
- Expedites admittance to the site or facility
- Ensures client employees and visitors feel valued and cared for
- Communicates openly, honestly, and responsively in all situations
- Monitors entrances, exits, and movement of people and vehicles
- Prevents unauthorized entry and ensures compliance with regulations
- Operates gate and examines vehicle contents
- Conducts patrols
- Identifies unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons
- Inspects buildings and grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear
- Manages incidents and emergencies
- Protects evidence and incident scenes during accidents, emergencies, or security investigations
- Sets up barriers, provides signage, and offers direction or information to others
- Maintains records
- Prepares logs or reports required for the site
- Writes reports or enters information into a computer using standard grammar
- Reviews security control logs and takes necessary actions
- Reports incidents
- Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activities to client representatives, company management, or public safety authorities as appropriate
- Responds to emergencies
- Responds to fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, and water discharge incidents
