Associate Teacher

Security Benefit Academy is searching for an experienced Associate Teacher with proven experience to join our team. The position will be in our home office in Topeka, Kansas, working a four (4) 10-hour workday schedule. The Associate Teacher will be responsible for developing and executing ongoing programs of activities that engage children and provide learning experiences within our school age STEM and Fine Arts classrooms.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• College degree in Early Childhood or related field
• 1-3 years' experience working with children in a licensed child care facility
• Respectful and caring mindset toward children
• Basic understanding of child growth and development
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability for function effectively as part of a team
• Positive attitude
• Ability to be flexible
• Light to medium lifting required and the ability to keep up with active young children and work inside and outside all year
