Job Description
Security Benefit is a leader in the U.S. retirement market with more than $60 billion in assets under management. We're looking for an Investment Operations Intern to contribute to the lifecycle support of investment activities by engaging in comprehensive operational processes and analysis. The intern will assist with the execution of daily processes, support strategic department projects, and prepare and analyze data for investment reporting.
Requirements
- Full-time college student pursuing degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field
- Entrepreneurial, resourceful, self-starter type who demonstrates high levels of integrity and accountability while passionate about problem solving
- Ability to manage numerous requests and tasks on a daily basis and track/respond to requests in a timely manner while displaying high intellectual curiosity and innovation to continuously expand knowledge base
- Displays teamwork orientation and highly collaborative while building strong relationships with internal and external colleagues
- Ability to analyze financial documentation, develop procedures and communicate detail in both verbal and written form
- Basic understanding of financial markets
- Proficient expertise in quantitative, analytical, modeling and financial analysis skills
- Robust skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications
