Job Description
Sedgwick is hiring a AUP (Appraisal Under Policy) Field Adjuster to perform complex loss valuation and scope analysis. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in property insurance adjusting, excellent analytical skills, and strong negotiation skills. The role involves appraising disputed damages, analyzing competing scopes and estimates, and participating in appraisal proceedings.
Requirements
- 5+ years of continuous property insurance adjusting experience involving complex loss valuation and scope analysis (homeowners & commercial property)
- Active state adjuster license(s), specific appraisal license required in Louisiana or Iowa
- Knowledge of state-specific appraisal laws, claim handling regulations, and policy application standards related to valuation and appraisal procedures
- Strong working knowledge of Xactimate
- Familiarity with building construction, repair methodologies, and practical application of local code compliance requirements
