Job Description
The Electro Neurodiagnostic Technologist is responsible for performing neurodiagnostic tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. This includes EEG, IOM, EMG, Epilepsy Monitoring, and Evoked Potential examinations. The role involves operating and maintaining neurodiagnostic equipment, analyzing test results, preparing patients, and maintaining accurate records. The role also involves collaboration with medical staff.
Requirements
- Conduct routine and complex neurodiagnostic tests, including EEG, IOM, EMG, and Evoked Potential examinations.
- Perform Epilepsy Monitoring in the laboratory, at the patient’s bedside, or in intensive care units.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate and maintain neurodiagnostic equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Analyze and interpret test results, providing preliminary reports to physicians.
