Group Leader - Fall 2025

Queens Community House is seeking a Group Leader for their summer program. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to middle school and elementary school youth and previous experience in youth development. The Group Leader will lead with heart and empathy, guiding enrichment activities, civic engagement, community service, and leadership opportunities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and must be currently enrolled in an institution of higher education (in the field of Education, Human Development, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, a plus)
• At least one (1) year of experience in leading and conducting activities for youth in after-school or camp settings or two (2) years of related experience
• Must be cleared and maintain clearance throughout the duration of employment by NYS DOH and DOE fingerprinting screening, NYS Central Registrar Background Check, 3 Reference checks, Staff Exclusion List (SEL), and must provide a medical clearance with updated TB test results
• Access to a computer/laptop with a camera, microphone, and internet access
