Job Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer collaborates with the global engineering team on product design which satisfy customer specifications.
Requirements
- Perform design verification on original and/or derivative design ideas
- Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
- Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed technology selection
- Complete all related drawings, documentation and release in internal systems
- Maintain product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons learned
- Direct interaction with customers to solicit product specifications requirements
- Advanced learning about in-house and supplier manufacturing technologies
- Corrosion research and welding characterization
- Familiarity with manufacturing methods
- Basic knowledge of a core manufacturing processes
