Certified Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative tasks based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse. One of the following certifications is required upon hire: Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or EMT Basic Certification.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire
