Hospital Emergency Dispatcher

Sentara Independence is looking to hire an Onsite Hospital Emergency Dispatcher for a second Shift schedule from 4:30pm to 1:00am including rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• 2 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced communications, call center, or service operations environment (Required)
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately (Preferred)
• Knowledge of emergency codes and hospital incident command systems (Preferred)
• Proficiency with multi-line phone systems, paging systems and emergency notification platforms (Preferred)
• Experience with electronic health record systems and call management software (Preferred)
• Ability to troubleshoot communication equipment under pressure (Preferred)
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation (Preferred)
